We need 50% of the troop come for the order of the arrow elections. It will happen at the next meeting at the same time. The votes will not count if 50% does not come.
If you are not going on the outing this weekend, the church is hosting a county fair from 10am – 2pm, and needs Scouts to help out. Service hours will be awarded.
See http://www.alpharettapres.com/upcoming-events for more information about the fair.
Troop 429 would love to have you visit us this fall or winter. We don’t have an open house, rather we invite Webelos to see what a regular troop meeting looks like.
We meet most Mondays from 7-8:30pm at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church. You can view the troop calendar at bsatroop429.org/calendar.
We also have a Webelos-oriented outing that Webelos may attend, on November 7.
Please contact Webelos Liaison Chris Clarke for more information.
Last day to sign up for the frisbee golf and ultimate frisbee outing is THIS MONDAY. That’s right, this Monday the 18th. There will only be 25-30 spots available so sign up fast!!
See you this Monday at the Troop Meeting!!
Welcome back, I hope everyone had a great summer. We will kick off the year with our first troop meeting on August 11 at 7pm at APC. See you there!!
Everyone should be home soon. Sounds like it was one of the best camps we’ve ever had. A little bad weather, but otherwise it went well.
Everyone have a great summer, and we’ll see you at the August outing!
All scouts going to camp will need to be present in order to swim at Woodruff.
There are 2 dates that our troop can take the swim test:
- May 12, 4:30-6pm
- May 18, 6-8pm
You must bring a completed waiver to the test. Click here for the waiver.
Email Laura Patton with your preferred date to take the swim test: Pattonsfab1@yahoo.com.
For all parents of boys that either joined or crossed over recently, there will be an orientation meeting on April 14, at 7pm during the troop meeting. We will cover everything you need to know about the troop, outings, and summer camp.
We had our final crossover (Pack 205) last night, and once again had a great turnout. Thanks to all the Scouts and adults who came out to support the Webelos and parents who are joining our troop. I think we had the best turnout of all the troops at 3 out of the 4 crossover ceremonies.
Our incoming class has a total of 19 boys from the following packs: 429, 459, 1459 and 205.
Great job guys!
